WAR-FORTIFIED EMERGENCY ROOM & HOSPITALIZATION COMPLEX

A hospital within a hospital: this $17M multi-level underground structure was inaugurated in November 2022 (with Healthcare For Israel & a generous gift from the Iranian American Jewish Federation of New York).

Built to withstand all acts of war (nuclear, biological, and chemical) and natural disasters, it had been operating on basic equipment until you stepped in and raised over a million dollars following the recent escalation.

Since then, the need for this fortified haven has only grown more urgent. As Iran launched its largest missile salvo since the war began—firing multiple waves of ballistic missiles at northern Israel.

In Haifa, where Bnai Zion Medical Center is located, the city is under relentless attack. Hezbollah has struck with precision, targeting military and civilian areas across the north. Multiple rocket barrages have hit the city, the surrounding areras. Soldiers have fallen, and civilians have been wounded—including young children critically injured by shrapnel. Homes, cars, and playgrounds lie damaged.

The human toll has been devastating. Yet at Bnai Zion Medical Center, we remain on the front line. Our doctors and nurses are operating from the fortified underground bunker—treating wounded soldiers and civilians while missiles fly overhead.

To survive this ongoing war, Bnai Zion Medical Center urgently needs:

• Advanced medical equipment for trauma surgeries and intensive care inside the underground bunker

• Ventilators and respiratory support to treat blast and shrapnel injuries

• Protective gear for staff moving between the bunker and above-ground triage areas

• Backup power systems and fuel to keep life-saving devices running during grid failures

• Blood and plasma supplies for rapid transfusion in mass casualty events

• Mental health and trauma counseling for frontline medical teams suffering from exhaustion and secondary trauma

•  Sleeping cots, food, and hygiene supplies so staff can remain inside the bunker for days without leaving
